Belgian design island

A world of its own within Meubelbeurs Brussel. Home to a mixed group of DESIGNERS, combining well-known names and up-and-coming design talent.

The designers on this island have one thing in common: their creative spirit.

they shape design with
a distinct Belgian touch.

Take a look, have a chat or dive deeper into the design.

Designers look at the world with an open mind and step off the beaten track. They notice what is bubbling under the surface and spot developments before they go mainstream. They are the thinkers behind what matters now and the inventors of what comes next. They pioneer, experiment and innovate. They are the creative engine of the interior industry.

an inspiring place to be

With the Belgian Design Island, we want to put Belgium on the map as a multicultural breeding ground for interior design. This is where Germanic and Romance cultures meet and inspire each other, a fertile ground that appeals to the international design scene. But is that widely known? That is why Meubelbeurs Brussel champions our designers in the interior world.

All aisles lead to the Belgian Design Island

Its population is a diverse mix of renowned design studios, design brands and designers-to-be: the students of VOMO. Everything on the Belgian Design Island is designed and made on Belgian soil. The range runs from furniture to decorative objects and floor, wall and window coverings, suited to both the residential and the contract market.
